The layered look is an easy and casual style which apparently has no rules. But to be honest, you
really have to experiment a bit to get a cool outfit together, because sometimes it can look very funny and disguised. For me this kind of style is something new. I experimented with different materials of clothes. I tried to start very simple and combined my high waist Levi‘s jeans with my casual cotton tank top from James Perse. In order to get a real layered optic I wanted to wear something long over my denim and chose my new Kimono from Topshop. I like its color in a kind of nude with black printed bamboo patterns on it. This color combination makes it simple to match it with a lot of other shades. On top of that long Kimono with a cool Japanese touch, I jazzed up my outfit with my cognac leather coat from Prada. The coat which is ruffled at the back is about 5 years old and still en vogue. The brown waist belt belongs to the leather coat as well and is the perfect detail to accentuate your curves. To define the shape of the coat, you tie it at your waist. The most important for the layered look is to layer your clothes, of course. You start with something long and put shorter pieces on top to get this unique and extraordinary optic.
I finished my outfit with my accessories. Therefore I chose the classic Clubmaster sunglasses from Ray Ban in brown and put on my Christian Louboutin pumps matching to the color of my coat. As a final touch I styled the whole outfit with my Chanel clutch in which you can find all tones of the layered look as well.
