A current trend in the international fashion scene is the back-to-front shirt. Bloggers and fashion influencers wear their shirts and blouses backwards now to style them more individually. This look can be styled in an elegant and casual way, with new and old pieces.
I tried this back to front shirt trend with my new Steffen Schraut tie-neck blouse. As I love the mix of elegant and casual elements, the Levi’s wedgie icon fit jeans is the perfect choice for my personal look – the electric blue color of the shirt goes very well with classic blue jeans! The tie-neck blouse is designed with a ribbon, which can be used perfectly as a hair bow when it is worn backwards! I adore this outfit, as it looks so special by only wearing one piece differently. But I also have to say, that it is not the most comfortable way. Due to the use of the tie as a hair bow, it is not very easy to move much – but it looks so good on photos 😉
To add a bit of color I combined this look with my shiny red Gianvito Rossi Pumps and the union jack clutch by Alexander McQueen – red matches blue so well! Also, the Dior sunglasses and my IWC watch make the look even cooler 😉 With the trendy blouse and timeless pieces I was able to create a personal look that is elegant and also casual.
Do you like this trend? My personal advice: Choose a shirt with loose cut. The Steffen Schraut blouse is perfect for this trend, as it suits the body both ways because of the loose fit. For me, this trend is an absolute eye catcher! Although, the opinions are divided on back-to-front-shirts, as it is difficult to wear them on a daily basis.
