After two weeks spent in Los Angeles, where I enjoyed peaceful quality time with my sister, I made my way to New York. This city is the opposite of L.A. – everything is vivid, fast-paced and intense… but: don’t get me wrong! I love both cities with its varieties; they’re just the totally different.
The atmosphere in New York is very cool and edgy with many museums around, a lot of unique art and lots of amazing restaurants. And I believe, even if I’d try to experience it all, I’d never manage as the city is so fast growing with many opportunities …
… Many opportunities in many different districts. To me, SoHo (South of Houston Street) is one of the most fascinating districts in New York City – it is located next to lower Manhattan. In recent history it was the place to be for many artists, accompanied by many lovely lofts and art galleries. Nowadays its better known for its variety of shops – a range of trendy upscale boutiques to national and international chain store outlets.
In SoHo, I shot my first look for Patrizia Pepe, which is a reminiscent of Boho chic and therefore perfectly fits to the coolest and most trendy area of New York.
The amazing short printed silk georgette dress in red, with floral fantasy and an asymmetric length is slightly loose fit. On the neckline it has hand embroidered baguette-cut stones and a three-quarter sleeve. The elasticated waist has a detachable belt in matching fabric on top, which you can also wear on a simple black dress or pullover to give a bit color.
As a bag I chose a mini clutch bag with a long, removable shoulder strap, in gold and leather. For me, that bag in this size is an absolutely perfect city bag – and relevant items such as smartphones and cards fit in easily. In the back, it has an open external pocket flap. Furthermore, it has an automatic button with a key in front with the unique Patrizia Pepe Fly to smoothen when closing the bag.
In order to give the outfit a final touch, I chose my wool hat with the same fly detail on a crocodile printed leather strap.
The court shoe with shiny patent leather and a wide sloping 100 mm heel was very comfortable and the perfect shoe to walk around SoHo in BoHo 🙂
