Big trouble in little China! At my first day in New York, I went to Chinatown to shoot my first New York pics during fashion week for the blog. If you walk around the streets, it feels like being in another world. Here you’ll find some of the best restaurants in NYC representing the cuisine of virtually every province of mainland China and Hong Kong, plus Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese eateries and shops. As Chinatown -also notable as NYC’s largest Asian community- continues to grow, it merges with neighboring Little Italy and the Lower East Side. I loved to shoot there because everything is colorful in the background and really, it looks and feels like shooting in Asia.
My comfortable Steffen Schraut dress has a blue lace overlay which adds tactile appeal and pretty femininity. The bright white pointed collar and the white buttoned cuffs keeps the dress super chic and refined. The dress is zipped at the back and has a slim silhouette above and it’s flared below and falls just above the knee. This makes it also perfectly wearable during the day. For colder days I would prefer to dress it down with stockings and some cool and edgy boots. On top I would combine it with a black biker jacket.
Intricately embroidered with multicolored thread, this black coat from Steffen Schraut is a statement cover-up and the stylish icing on the cake. This great piece has a pointed collar and lapels, snapped front and a slim silhouette with boxy shoulders. You can also style that coat with denim and a tee or a little, simple black dress. Whatever you wear it will be a great eyecatcher in combination with the coat.
