Rodeo drive, one of the most famous streets in LA, well known from one of my favorite films „Pretty woman“ with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. As the luxury boulevard of Beverly Hills the Rodeo Drive refers to the three – block stretch of the street north of Wilshire Boulevard and south of Little Santa Monica Boulevard, which is known for its luxury – goods stores. The larger business district surrounding Rodeo, known as the „Golden Triangle,“ which extends from Wilshire Boulevard to Santa Monica Boulevard, is both a shopping district and a major tourist attraction.
It’s been 26 years since „Pretty Woman“ was released in theaters. Do you remember the scene, when Julia Roberts‘ character Vivian Ward is shunned from a boutique because she doesn’t look like she can afford it, only to have her shell out serious cash at another store. „Big mistake,“ Ward tells the boutique employees the next day. „Big. Huge.“
I think I saw that movie 10 times! It is still one of my favorite films. Walking around Rodeo drive with my sister Isabel, gave me last but not least the perfect location for that silk stretch shirt dress from Jadicted. The shirt dress is cut from silk, printed with tigers and flamingos in nude and white. It has a belted waist and a button – down front which you can leave a bit open at the lower end to give a sneak peek to your legs. This time I decided to wear the dress together with my Christian Louboutin’s black leather ‚Pigalle 100‘ pumps. With a low – cut vamp to flatter your foot and a high stiletto heel, this point – toe pair has the most elegant silhouette. For a sportive touch, you can wear it with some cool sneakers or even with stockings and boots during winter time.
