The biker skirt I am wearing is one of my favorite skirts from Saint Laurent. I bought it when the brand was renamed from Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent in 2012 – it was the brand’s first it-piece back then. The silver zipper details, the belt and leather fabric are classic characteristics for biker clothing – most commonly as a leather jacket or pants. This skirt stayed in the collection since the beginning and you can still buy it.
Those clothes are super sexy, feminine and casual. That’s why I adore combining this biker skirt with elegant or sporty pieces to ease the look a bit. My office shirt by Etro for instance is the perfect opposite for the leather skirt. It is striped very classical in white and blue and goes great with my turtleneck knitwear by Oui. The loose sweatshirt in baby blue looks great when rolling up one’s sleeves.
I wanted to add a bit of cool elegance to my outfit with my accessories. You already know my velvet boots by Philipp Lim and how much I love them. Velvet is the fabric of this season – especially in combination with leather. My silver Furla bag and the big Les Specs sunglasses are the last feminine but cool detail that complete my look.
A leather skirt is a classic must have piece every woman needs in her closet! Whether you like to dress rocking or not – a mini leather skirt is always a good idea and can be worn so differently. I am showing you a way to style those kind of clothing casually but feminine with opposing pieces. This mixed look is an absolute eye catcher.
Leather is a fabric I really like. It is timeless, but always modern. Those kinds of clothes are the ones you have in your closet for years! What about you, do you have your biker skirt already? If not – go and get it!
