There is no such cool thing as wearing denim on denim right now. The fabric was once used for working garments only, but today fashion designers can`t image to design collections without denim. The more- the better!
For my winter denim-look I am wearing my new and absolutely adorable blouse by Storets. This piece is not only special because of the fabric, but because of the style. Whereas the denim fabric is more rustic, the cut is very girlish as it is full of ruffles and flounces. The piece is super eyecatching, but for me it is also suitable for everyday life as it is so comfortable to wear. And the best is, that it is easy to wear a jacket despite the ruffles, because of the soft denim fabric – it is not stiff at all.
In combination with the denim shirt I am wearing – obviously – jeans. My skinny and destroyed jeans in classic blue by Adriano Goldschmied are perfect for the voluminous top. I advise to always wear skinny jeans when wearing oversized or bulky tops!
My new blue hat (which is super soft and comfortable!) by Marc Cain goes very well with the blue outfit. I suggest not exaggerating with shades of blue when styling a denim look. But you also shouldn’t combine it with colors that differ too much. Black or white for instance are more difficult to use for larger pieces, as they are not coherent with denim blue. Therefor I chose shades of beige for my coat and shoes, as it matches the coloring of the denim very well. And with my classic IWC Portofino Automatic Moon Phase 37 and the LeSpecs sunglasses my look is perfect for a sunny winter day!
