The Kimono is one of the most traditional pieces of clothing from Japan and the designer Natasha Zinko created a beautiful robe for our times. Right now the Kimono is seen all over the fashion scene and many brands picked up the ancient style and recreated it in a new and personal way. Natasha Zinko is one of them. The glamorous designer is originally from Ukraine, where she was trained as a lawyer. But she decided to come to London to study jewellery design, as she felt a stronger passion for this art. Her clothesline started slowly out of a couple of custom orders for her jewellery clients. This was the beginning of a big career, since her colorful and motif-embellished take on party dressing is recognized highly in the scene. This brocade robe is crafted from a patchwork of patterns and prints. Floral trims hold the look together at the lapels and pockets. It is so easy to slip on and I like to wear it with jeans for a playful daytime look. My Jeans is a slim fit high waist pair by Levi’s with frayed hems. A cool style with the fine robe and a must in your jeans collection. Under the Kimono I am wearing a tank top from Jadicted in white, to keep it simple underneath.
My shoes are metallic glitter crossover sandals by Gucci and I love the contrast of the funky glitter on my feet to the elegant robe and frayed jeans.
The sunglasses are by Les Specs and the color of the glasses harmonizes perfectly with my look. The black logo zip purse bag is from Fendi and is a precious little finish to the rest of my style. In my outfit you can truly see my passion for mixing different and beautiful styles and pieces.
I am happy that Natasha Zinko was recognized to design beautiful clothes and I am looking forward to follow her future creations.
