The glencheck coat is a classic piece you can treasure in your closet for your entire life. It will never leave the fashion zone and all big designers celebrate the comeback of the glencheck pattern frequently. And when it is not trending just remember not to give them away – the trend will be back for sure.
This glencheck coat in grey and white thin stripes is a cool one from Set Fashion. It has a casual cut that hangs down easily around your body. You can wear it open and have it hang loose, or close it elegantly with a wide waist belt, like you can see me wearing it in this image. It changes the style a bit and keeps the piece together. I love changing looks and to try out new combinations – and waist belts around blazers or coats are always a great idea. Sometimes you don’t have to buy a new item, just play around with the pieces you already have in your personal collection.
I chose a black lacquer waist belt from Dolce & Gabbana, adding a shiny accessory to the style. Underneath my coat you can see me wearing a long white shirt from Dorothee Schumacher, serving as my dress. You can also wear it over skinny jeans for example, but for this look it goes perfectly without pants or a skirt.
On top I am wearing a flashy red bomber jacket from Yves Salomon with a red fur collar. This piece is a real eye-catcher and together with my red over knee boots from Fendi I am totally changing the style of the outfit. I love the combination of two sophisticated pieces like the glencheck coat and the white shirt, mixed with hot pieces such as the red bomber jacket and the red over knees. A great combination, that brings totally different styles together with an amazing effect.
The bomber jacket looks great with all kind of looks, wear it with casual jeans, a short skirt or the way you can see me styling it. The elegant fur also offers a cool contrast to the sporty jacket. My Fendi boots make my legs look longer and they highlight any outfit of a short dress or skirt.
For more elegance I am carrying my Madame Viv’bag from the beautiful designer Roger Vivier. It is crafted in leather of a wonderful quality and it holds lavish detailing. The bag is timeless and classy and the designer created it for modern and sophisticated women. My black Céline sunglasses round up a wonderful style mix that can be worn wonderfully for a stroll through the city.
