The Hermès Kelly is not only a classy handbag – it has a beautiful story around it. The Kelly bag – formerly known as the Sac àdépêches, is one of the most famous pieces from Hermès, the high-fashion luxury manufacturer from Paris.
It has a long history, originally it was a saddle holder, which was redesigned a few times before it became what it is today – an It-piece that I wouldn’t want to miss in my collection. And I think I am speaking for a lot of ladies right now.
The name was born, after Grace Kelly held it as protection in front of her unborn baby to shield it from the press. Of course that image went around the world in no time. I love the entire story to it – there is so much character and beauty.
This model you can see me carrying is a Hermès Kelly bag in orange. As you know how much I enjoy playing with fashion, I functioned this classy piece into a waist belt trend, by tying the strap around my waist. Works perfectly and gives the item a cool new touch. And having the hands free once in a while is also not too bad!
To go with my look I slipped into a green tiger print Gucci logo hoodie. The color of the wild animals picks up with my Hermès Kelly really nicely. The bright green is a super contrast to my bright red skirt. This pleated piece is from SET and I love to combine it with strong colors. It’s a great skirt that works really well with a sporty and with an elegant look – sneakers will also look very cool if you like to keep it even more casual.
I chose my Pigalle Follies pumps from Christian Louboutin, they pick up all colors of the outfit again in the hand scribbled pattern. Which is btw by Christian Louboutin himself. The green-mirrored sunglasses are from Ray Ban and round up my outfit story in their style and tone. I really enjoy this mix of classy and modern pieces, they all work really well together and bring up a nice new look.
The Hermès Kelly is a sincere companion in my fashion collection and it always looks amazing – no matter what I style it with – try it yourself and enjoy the possibilities.
