Mixed prints are one of the big styles this season in the beautiful world of fashion. The designers and labels show a lot of wonderful prints in all kind of variations and colors, offering a huge range of fun styling options.Everything is allowed, you can mix patterns of different types and colors and just go wild with your personal favorite fall items. For me this is of course a perfect trend because this is actually something I always love to do – mixing up different fashion items and playing with styles and colors.

For the mixed prints look I chose lovely pieces from various print families. Starting with a long multicolored plaid coat from Ouí in great bright greenish, blue, red and purple tones. This is a happy coat and it for sure brightens up my day by just looking at it. Underneath I slipped into a wool multicolored turtleneck from Ouí as well. I love the structure of this piece, the colors just flow into each other in a cool way and look great combined with the plaid colorful coat over it.

For cooler days a hat is always a great idea, especially when it is such a lovely model like this multicolored wool piece from Missoni. The Italian brand is famous for their special prints and for the amazing colors they use in their designs. You can always tell if you see a Missoni design – the style is unmistakable.

To go on in my mixed prints story I put on a black and white plaid slim cut skirt with a zipper up the front from Ouí as well. The label offers a big variety of patterns, that harmonize perfectly with each other and result in this cool look.

To break up the mixed prints a bit I styled my brown waist belt from Max Mara, to give a little break in the middle. All colors in this outfit go perfectly with the colors of fall – picking up tones of trees and leaves and the autumn sun.

To pick up more purple I am carrying my Soft Berlin Crossbody Bag in Viva Lilac from MCM in this funky shape. The bright tone highlights any outfit and I love how it harmonizes with the colors in the coat and hat.

My shoes are the black suede high heels from Christian Louboutin and I paired them up with these cute little socks from H&M. To finish off my autumn look I am wearing my black Audrey sunglasses from Céline.

Mixed prints always work as long as you feel comfortable in showing a lot of patterns and colors – but try it out and I am sure you will enjoy the fun and beauty as much as I do.
