Yellow knit is a beautiful thing to wear – first of all the color brings out sunshine and second of all knit always looks fancy. And last but not least it keeps you warm at any time. So basically, you achieve three positive aspects, by making the choice of wearing this style. I am a big fan of colors and especially of bright ones – they light up my day and bring out happiness so easily.
In winter the days are so much shorter and darker, so I think it is the perfect timing to help the sunlight a bit to come out. This yellow crew-neck cashmere sweater from Jardin des Orangers is my partner in crime to do this. It has an elegant and simple cut that makes it easy to wear with so many different outfits. It works with suits, an edgy pair of jeans or leather pants for example – it will look flashy with anything you will try out.
In this image you can see me wearing it with a pair of high-waisted trousers in dark grey from H&M. This cut is trending right now and I personally think it is very ladylike and great to combine in many ways. It is always best to tuck the top into the trousers, like I am doing here, so the cut comes out at its best and so your silhouette looks at its best as well.
To keep the two pieces together I tied my brown lacquer Kieselstein Cord Crocodile belt around my waist. I like how it breaks up the style through the different material and the combination with the bright yellow knit. A nice accessory to have in your belt collection that can highlight certain looks.
For more color I slipped into my red lacquer pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Red is one of my favorite colors, standing for love, warmth and being elegant and sexy. No matter if you carry it around your body or on your lips, it always does its magic. These heels are wonderful for a casual look with denims for example or with a fancy evening dress. I also like to style them with a casual chic outfit like here, if I am looking for some highlights.
My graphic flap bag from Chanel in black/red/yellow/blue picks up every tone in my outfit and is the perfect choice to round this styling up. When I am looking for new combinations I also like to bring out my hats once in a while, like this model, a nautical cap with buttons from Zara.
Yellow knit is wonderful to wear at any time of the day – it will always shine and make you look great – enjoy the sunny moments.
