The CARRIERISTA is the Italian word for careerist but much more important, it is the name of this amazing business bag from the young and emerging label VOLLENWEIDER. The brand is a start up from my hometown Düsseldorf and the founder and designer is Julia Vollenweider, a smart young lady who knows what she wants. While working in the fashion industry in Italy and Germany for more than 12 years, Julia never found the perfect business bag. In order to set an end to the frustrating search she decided to make her own bags – and VOLLENWEIDER was born at the end of 2017.

Not only are they super stylish, they also have a single compartment for everything you need when going to work, a meeting or on a business trip. No annoying searching for your laptop, phone or pen – everything is perfectly organized and has its own space. It even has a place for a bottle of water – and no worries – the inside material is high-tech satin, so nothing can happen –even if a little bit spills inside the piece. There is also room for your charger, a scrapbook, an umbrella – seriously everything is perfectly organized. And all this in Italian quality and elegant design – each bag is made in Italy by artisans. They know their craft and are famous for their leather goods. And last but not least it has a loop on the outside, to slip it over your suitcase whenever travelling and needing free hands to talk on the phone or for checking in. I chose this CARRIERISTA in bright rosso, a lovely color that brightens up any business look.

The CARRIERISTA in red goes wonderfully with my black IRO delicate jumpsuit, a stylish one-piece suit for work or for pleasure. I love the suit style it has, with the cute big bow belt around the waist. You can style it elegantly or sporty, it just depends on the accessories you choose. Next to this beautiful bag I styled my black and white Chanel tweed beret – I just love the French chic and the look of it. Around my neck I tied this pretty vintage foulard with dots, so nice how multiply you can use this timeless piece. And instead of jewellery I put my Chanel logo brooch onto the jumpsuit – it always works. My shoes are the black and white patent So Kate pumps from Christian Louboutin, they go perfectly with my outfit.

The CARRIERISTA is something I really want to recommend to all of my fellow business ladies out there – no long searches for little items and places to store the laptop – but it also works on casual days – who doesn’t want to be organized at all times?
