On 21st of November I had the great honor of being invited to the 71st BAMBI awards. It’s stunning and overly glamorous location was Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Germany’s biggest concert and opera house. Back in the 19th century this was the place where Johann Strauss and Johannes Brahms wrote music history. Today classic music superstars like Anna Netrebko and Lang Lang and even popstars like Bruno Mars are honoring this place with their performances.
The BAMBI awards were celebrated for the 1st time in 1948 and originally were a film award. Back then readers of the “Filmrevue” voted for their most popular film stars.
In the 80s the BAMBI awards were transformed into a media award. Many world-famous stars like Tom Cruise, Meg Ryan, Keanu Reeves and Eva Longoria have honored the BAMBI awards with their appearance. The reason for the little statue’s name BAMBI is the fact that 1st BAMBI awards winner Marika Rökk’s daughter saw the statue and was full of joy as to her it looked like the well-known film character Bambi.
Until today the BAMBI awards are Germany’s most important media award and I am so glad that I had the opportunity of being part of this great event!
I had the outstanding pleasure of wearing a lovely DIOR gown to this marvellous event! I paired it with a DIOR Saddle Bag in “Tropicalia Toile-de-Jouy” finishing and black high-heels. To top this amazing outfit off I had the honor of wearing HARRY WINSTON jewellery.
As diamonds are a girl’s best friend I of course felt extraordinarily happy to be able to take my new besties from HARRY WINSTON to this year’s BAMBI awards. HARRY WINSTON was a man with many brilliant facets just like the rare and precious gems that shaped his life. He founded his brand 1932 in New York City and for more than 8 decades it is THE address for outstandingly noble jewellery.
Today HARRY WINSTON is known as the “King of Diamonds” and “Jeweller to the Stars” and I am certain that by looking at the pictures of this evening you’ll surely understand why.
I have to admit that I rarely felt this glamorous and couldn’t be more grateful for this amazing experience!
