Pleated skirts are a trend topic for some time now and are continuing to be during this year’s Autumn/Winter season. When I saw the pleated Gucci skirt with its all over iconic Guccissima print I immediately fell in love and am ever since!

 As much as I am a fan of colour blocking and combining different patterns I am a huge enthusiast of the monochrome trend. Therefore, I love to combine my pleated Gucci skirt with my camel coloured sweater by Nili Lotan and a beige Zara trench coat. To finalize the monochrome look I am topic the outfit off with a brown Gucci GG belt, nude high-heels from Christian Louboutin and a colour matching Gucci GG Marmont Mini-Bucket bag. This beautiful combination I was wearing whilst visiting Paris Fashion Week in October and felt simply amazing in it!

Before trending back up pleated skirts have been off the radar for quite some time but from my point of view they can be seen as a fashion evergreen as, depending on how you combine them, they can be worn during every season of the year.

I would always build my look around this amazingly feminine piece of apparel no matter if you go for a subtle colour way or an iconic all over print version as the pleated Gucci skirt that I chose. In summer I for example can imagine combining my pleated Gucci skirt with a plain white t-shirt and white sneakers for a more casual day time look whilst when being combined with a camel coloured sleeveless body and strappy nude sandals the pleated Gucci skirt would star as the eyecatcher in an iconic evening ensemble.

One of the latest trends I spotted is the combination of pleated knee-length skirts with knee high boots which once more emphasizes the all-year-round quality of pleated skirts. Adding knee high boots to your look makes it an amazing autumn and even winter time companion that screams for being combined with a cozy cashmere or woolen jumper and a leather jacket or woolen coat. On top of being super on trend this combination is also very flattering as it lengthens your legs and emphasizes your feminine silhouette.

 I am sure by now you realized that I am a huge fan of pleated skirts and would definitely appoint them as one of today’s fashion essentials!
