The NEW BENTAYGA by BENTLEY MOTORS is one of a kind and a few weeks ago I had the outstanding honour to get to know and drive this best of its class SUV on the beautiful island of Sylt whilst taking part in the NEW BENTAYGA Sylt Experience.
I commenced my trip with a ride from Düsseldorf to Sylt in the beautiful BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT CONVERTIBLE. And I have to admit that there is no such thing like a convertible when the sun is shining, and the weather is sweet! Surely, many of you will agree on that. I just couldn’t resist the offer to ride such an exceptional car to Sylt and back home and make it a start to finish line BENTLEY journey.
Upon my arrival on the island and at the beautiful 5-Star Superior Hotel FÄHRHAUS at the Munkmarsch harbour in the late afternoon I used the remaining time to rediscover Sylt and its picturesque little villages as I used to spend many holidays here when I was a kid. Whilst cruising the island in the CONTINENTAL GT CONVERTIBLE I got super excited for my NEW BENTAYGA Sylt Experience and passing by some places that brought back childhood memories made me smile.
After getting to know the NEW BENTAYGA the next morning my NEW BENTAYGA Sylt Experience started with a ride from Munkmarsch harbour to the Ellenbogen. The Ellenbogen is Sylt’s and respectively Germany’s most northern point. It is a lovely place to take a walk and enjoy the fresh breeze as well as the outstanding landscape with dunes and the typical northern greenery.
As all of you surely know I am a woman drawn towards aesthetic objects and so I immediately fell in love with the NEW BENTAYGA as it stunningly embraces BENTELY MOTORS’ modern design language. On top of this it offers a powerful and dynamic driving experience and has been breathtakingly reimagined to inspire exploration in its purest form.
The fusion between a commanding new design with empowering performance and a suite of innovative technologies create a luxury SUV that excels in any environment. Its exceptional handling and outstanding ride comfort lets you experience every environment in world-class refinement. As I couldn’t get enough of actually riding this great SUV I pursued my NEW BENTAYGA Sylt Experience with taking a ride to Keitum. Keitum is a great place to stroll through some shops – which I of course did. With its small streets edged by trees Keitum looks like straight from a movie and combined with the very unique Sylter-n architecture it is absolutely stunning.
As shopping provokes appetite my next stop was the PONY in Kampen. The PONY is located on Kampen’s famous Whiskey Meile which is known for shopping, fine food and nightlife. Basically, the perfect match for the NEW BENTAYGA that from a bold, new exterior, to an exquisitely enhanced cabin that highlights BENTLEY MOTORS’ revered craftsmanship, makes a clear statement of intent: this is a true luxury.
After enjoying a light lunch, I took the NEW BENTAYGA to one of the main coastal landmarks – a lighthouse. The name of one of Sylt’s most famous ones is “Langer Christian” and it is located in Kampen. It was built in 1856 and is 39,10 meters high. The nature surrounding the “Langer Christian” is simply beautiful and after spending some time exploring the area around the lighthouse I took my time to make myself even more familiar with the interior of the NEW BENTAYGA and can only underpin that it truly is a thoughtfully crafted environment in which to enjoy any journey, with painstaking attention to detail elevating it to truly luxurious levels. The cabin perfectly blendstechnology and exquisitely crafted materials and a new steering wheel, door and seat design further enhances the modern feel while practical details such as improved stowage have not been overlooked. The My Bentley App provides access to a full suite of innovative services, including remote car finder, remote vehicle locking and unlocking. To sum this all up it is easy to say that the NEW BENTAYGA is really offering everything a lady like me could wish for – and more!
My next stop was the harbour of Hörnum which is Sylt’s most southern place. It is a great spot to catch a breeze on a warm summer day and watch the fisherman’s boats leaving and returning to the harbour.
I ended my NEW BENTAYGA Sylt Experience with a lovely dinner at the famous Dorfkrug in Kampen in great company with outstandingly delicious food, a head full of new memories and some childhood holiday flashbacks. And also, a part of my heart being lost to this extraordinary SUV…
