The Velvet crush is my latest crush I developed when it gets to fashion. The material is very rich and luxurious and it has something warm about it. You can see it all over the runways during Fashion Week in all the hotspots of the world. While I was in Paris I saw a lot of it, in suits, dresses and elegant evening robes. The velvet material has something glamorous around it and it makes every item special. Celebrities are also wearing a lot of it on the red carpets, so this trend has made it up to the top. I think it is a perfect material for the colder months, that are beginning right now, and I am sure the velvet crush will last until next season.
Since I love mixing fabrics and styles my velvet crush lets me enjoy the combination of this fabric with other lovely materials and styles.
In this picture you can see me wearing a fine burgundy red velvet blazer from Jadicted. Burgundy red is a strong color and it melts up perfectly with the fabric. The blazer is elegant and stylish and great to wear on a night out, or just as well for a business lunch or shopping tour through the city.
I am wearing it with a cool pair of leather pants from Unravel in black with a laced up high waist and ankle zippers. The details on the pants are great and to show them better I chose to tuck in the blazer in the front. It gives a blazer a whole new style and the outfit breaks up in a funky way.
To stay funky I slipped into my Opyum 110 lacquer ankle boots from Saint Laurent with this special logo heel. They are fun to walk on and what a clever idea to present the brands initials on the heel. Underneath you can see the motherfucker socks from Mother Denim. I love playing with all these different fashion pieces and to create an individual look, made up of a great mix.
My velvet crush look is accompanied by a great new bag I fell in love with as well, the Chanel lambskin bag with a print from Chanel No. 5. This is another amazing piece from the famous Chanel supermarket collection.
The sunglasses are my Diormania glasses from Dior, they finish of my look in a stylish way.
My velvet crush is in my heart and in my wardrobe and I am looking forward to styling many more looks around the amazing fabric – maybe you fell in love as well?
