Burlington socks are a classic and they really remind me of my childhood. Our entire family and my friends grew up on these great socks. They just always feel like coming home in some sense when seeing them. First of all they have this unmistakable pattern that you will always recognize and they are made in so many funky colors and lengths. And the brand is known for the really good quality – you will have these socks around you for quite some time ;). Most of the times they are hidden underneath trousers though, which I personally think is a total waste. They are so cool and fashionable so why not show them of a bit more?

I chose to do so in my new look you can see right here, by styling the high-knee Burlington socks in grey and black with a short skirt. Pulling them up to the knee and choosing this outfit I also really feel like a British schoolgirl in her uniform, heading to her next class – just like Blair Waldorf, the queen of Constance in Gossip Girl. She also brought back the hair-band style to the fashion world and I like to pick it up once in a while myself. It has something cute and elegant about it at the same time.

My black wool skirt is by Isabel Marant, with a straight cut and three buttons down the front on each side. On top I slipped into my oversized embroidered check shirt by Gucci with a checkered pattern in bright blue and black. And a stylish extra to this piece is the black dog jumping over the front of the shirt, as if he was actually just passing by. In order to keep the two items together I put on my vintage black Hermès belt.

This look is perfect for my blue Hangisi Manolo Blahnik pumps with a shiny buckle on the tip. I love the mix of totally different styles here, they work really well together and stand out amazingly in this combination.

My handbag is the grey Hermès Kelly and it is as if it were made for this look.

My sunglasses are from Céline and of course I am wearing a little black hair band to perfectionize my back to school look.

Burlington socks will always be in my life – add them to yours, too and enjoy the variety of wearing them – and this look is certainly not only for school – it is great fashion for a day at work or in the city or wherever you choose to wear it.
