A tweed beret is the thing to wear on your head right now – I love the French chic of these hats and with this timeless pattern is just beautiful – what a wonderful combination in one piece. For me it is all about the little details, that can bring out so much more in an outfit and that can set their own little statement.

I love hats and especially berets. They look great in all kind of colors and fabrics. You have probably seen my red or black leather one in other styles – but now check out this amazing new tweed beret I found myself. This black and white model is the tweed beret from the Chanel La Pausa collection. This collection was inspired by Coco Chanels Villa in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin in the South of France. She had designed and it herself and built it in her own style in the 1930s. Karl Lagerfeld picked up the maritime style for La Pausa and used different shades of blue, stripes, mixed with rose tones and beautiful materials. There is a little touch of the 80s in the outfits, a great style mix and as always fabulous work in fashion terms. The setting for the show in the Grand Palais in Paris was a huge ship, carrying the name of “La Pausa” – a stunning atmosphere to present the pieces.

To go with my personal favorite, the tweed beret, I chose a lovely suit combination from my friend and designer Steffen Schraut. It is a striped sweater and the long black blazer with dots and the matching culotte pants. I love the style of this suit, it has so many trends combined and it is a complete outfit. Long blazers are seen all over the place and they fit over denims, dresses, leather pants or go perfectly with the culotte trousers. They are a great option to jeans or long pants and let the summer vibes come out. The dot pattern is cute but still elegant. Again, Steffen Schraut managed to put together all these amazing styles in one outfit and it looks great and goes perfectly with my tweed beret. He knows what women like and wear and he seeks trends and tailors them into wonderful creations. So wearable and so beautiful. Thanks, as always Steffen!

For my French look I chose my 2.55 flap bag from Chanel in black and white, that pick ups wonderfully with the outfit. Just like my black and white shoes from….Both great accessories that finish off so many style mixes – which I love to do so much.

A tweed beret is a great thing to pull off – not only right now – but whenever you feel like pulling off something special – try it out and enjoy the style!
