Aqua Allegoria, the continuously renewed collection of 10 scents from Guerlain, that pays homage to the wonders of nature and beautiful raw materials, celebrates its 20th anniversary. For this special occasion Guerlain had selected and invited8 best friends among the German blogger, Youtuber and influencer scene – Caro Dauer, Farina Opoku, Elena Carrière, Sofia Tsakiridou, Mrs. Bella, Paola Maria, Lena Terlutter and myself – to the lovely city of Saint-Tropez in the south of France.
Together we went discovering the area in cute little pastel colored Mini Cooper convertibles, accompanied by charming editors of the magazines Gala, Couch and Joly/Grazia. It was great fun cruising the Côte d’Azur, enjoying salty air and sunshine and learning some interesting facts about the Aqua Allegoria range of Guerlain.
After a quick check-in in the beautiful Hotel Sezz, we met for a nice and refreshing cocktail at the pool, while listening to the inspiring description of Guerlain’s how to create your personal signature scent by applying two different Aqua Allegoria scents together. It couldn’t have been any better – good friends, relaxing music, interesting topics, a cold drink and a subtle mix of fresh and feminine fragrances in the light evening air.
On the strength of the Guerlain Perfumer’s expertise dating back to the legendary Eau de Cologne Impériale in 1853, the Guerlain Perfumer creates each one of the Aqua Allegoria fragrances with the freshness of a Cologne and the hold of a Guerlain perfume. The guiding thread of the collection is bergamot, the key ingredient in the Guerlinade.
Each of us girls has her own special Aqua Allegoria scent, matching her taste and personality. My favorite is Teazzurra. The relaxing and refreshing essence represents happy moments and with its bluish shade it makes me think of a fresh ocean breeze, whereas the golden mesh design of the flacon is a tribute to the famous Guerlain Bee bottle. For a more pronounced result on special occasions I love layering the fresh Teazzurra with Bergamote Calabria or Mandarine Basilic.
Breathing the alluring mix of my Aqua Allegoria selection still recalls dear memories of our lovely little Guerlain Aqua Girls summer event: Cruising with my bestie Lena in our pink convertible beneath the warm sunshine, dressed in candy colors, taking photos at the seaside. In the end we could show our perfect Aqua Girl side and won the Aqua Girls challenge and a meeting with Angelina Jolie in Paris two weeks later with Guerlain.
