The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons Hotel, was the destination of my summer holiday trip to lovely Côtes d’Azur. My resume in one word: AMAZING! I enjoyed my time there so much and want to share a few impressions from this outstanding place with you.
The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat definitely embodies the classic glamour and timeless chic of the French Riviera and surely is Côte d’Azur’s most legendary palace hotel. It was opened in 1908 and is an icon ever since. I fell in love with this place upon the moment of my arrival.
I guess that’s what you call love at 1st sight! 😉
The rooms and suites at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat are simply stunning and represent the French joie de vivre in its most genuine form. They are cozy yet chic and make you feel absolutely comfortable the moment you enter.
The garden area at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat is wide yet feels very intimate. I spent hours strolling through the garden, enjoying the beautiful whether and the lush greens and gorgeous flowers.
Another highlight of the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat is that it is the host of one of the world’s most beautiful swimming pools. Perched above the rocky Mediterranean coastline near Nice and Monaco the infinity pool is heated and filled with seawater, overlooking the sea.
Getting there was an adventure by itself as you have to ride a glass funicular to access the area. After riding the glass funicular down to the Club Dauphin pool you’re arriving at an absolute Côte d’Azur landmark. The 33-metre pool, bordered by a wooden deck and surrounded by lounge chairs and parasols, perches on the edge of the sparkling, blue sea. The location offers a simply breathtaking view and I couldn’t get enough of gazing at the ocean.
The brand-new private, Dolce & Gabbana seaside cabana at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat is the right choice for an ultimate Côte d’Azur resort experience. It is amazingly comfortable facing one of the most inspiring sea views. The interior is simply stunning and every detail is so well thought through. I enjoyed this space so much and will always remember the lovely time I spent relaxing in this colorful environment.
The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat offers many ways to indulge in culinary experiences. The LE BAR offers the best of Asian and South American cuisines with the new IZAKAIA menu. The drinks at the LE BAR are so delicious and accompany the food in an extraordinary way.
The LA VÉRANDA restaurant offers a sense of informality with an atmosphere and menu reminiscent of a chic French Riviera bistro. Its cuisine combines influences from Italy and the Mediterranean Sea and inspiration from the coastline of Cap-Ferrat. The view is simply as unique as this restaurant itself and please don’t get me started on the menu which offered everything my inner French mademoiselle could wish for!
I felt so lucky and blessed being able to spend my summer holidays at this one of a kind place and have to admit that I can’t wait to get back!
