Black is the most timeless color ever! Right before Spring is in full bloom I want to share with you my favorite looks. My credo has been, is and will forever be that when in doubt I wear black. Black is sophisticated, it is elegant and it is classy by all means. It works in almost every situation and no matter if you want to dress up or dress more casually black has your back. Let me walk you through some of the looks that I wore during Paris Fashion Week in February and give you some insights on how I style my favorite black pieces.
THE LIITEL BLACK SKIRT
A little black skirt never disappoints. No matter if you go for a classic mini version or a pleated one. I love to combine my black skirts with a color-matching jacket and a white shirt or light jumper for that extra touch of je ne sais quoi… Taking the theme to an extreme I always stick to matching shoes – high-heels or boots most commonly – and black accessories from head to toe. To me a little black skirt look is an all-day every day look that can be worn to any occasion making sure you’re always extraordinarily well dressed.

CASUALLY BLACK
On days when I feel more casual I love to wear high waist loose trousers combined with loafers, a little black jacket and combine this two-piece look with a hint of white by wearing a white shirt, top or jumper. It’s a casual look that doesn’t lack elegance and to me is the perfect outfit for a lunch date or a day downtown.

BLACK SUIT
The last look I’d love to introduce you to is the black suit. To me this look is timeless and beyond elegant. My current favorite black suit comes with flared pants, a double-breasted blazer and to me is a great look to wear during a night out. I top it off with black accessories from head to toe and never not wear red lipstick when suiting up.

FABRIC MIX
In terms of jewelry I am of the firm believe that anything works with black and even like to go bicolor or tricolor combining different shades of gold and silver colored pieces which is a lot of fun and makes the looks even more interesting.
And last but not least black works in any fabric you can think of – silk, cotton, denim, bouclé… You name it! And when talking fabrics, I love mix and match just as much as I like to stick to one fabric for my all-black looks. Silk with bouclé is a lovely combination with which you can never go wrong and a head to toe bouclé combination never disappoints – just to name two examples of many.
