 Alexandra Lapp x Seidensticker – my very first collection in collaboration with the renowned fashion label Seidensticker launches TODAY. Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled! This capsule collection marks a significant milestone in my fashion journey and is an absolute dream come true. It’s the first of two drops, with the second set to follow in autumn/winter 2024. Let me take you behind the scenes and give you a glimpse into the inspiration, the creative process, and what makes this collection truly special.

 How it all started…

Have you ever experienced a connection so immediate and profound that it feels like a perfect match? That’s exactly what happened when I spent a few wonderful days in Paris last year with Seidensticker for a content production project. From our very first meeting, it was clear that we shared a mutual passion for fashion and a common vision for what it should evoke in people. This synergy sparked the concept of creating a collection together, one that encapsulates our shared values and aspirations.

 A tribute to fashion heritage

Fashion runs deep in my family. My grandpa on my mother’s side was a master tailor, and my grandma was a milliner – a talented hat maker. My late father dedicated his life to shoes and ran a very successful shoe wholesale business. With roots like these, this collection also pays homage to my family’s rich fashion heritage. My mother, in particular, has always been my style icon. I grew up admiring her impeccable taste and elegance. Her influence is woven into every piece of this collection. The collection features unique elements like the Paris print and flared skirts with matching blouses, pieces that my mother especially adores. Her favorite is the black skirt with the wonderful blouse that is made of a wonderfully light garment. I love that every piece is designed to be versatile and can be styled in multiple ways – a key aspect of my fashion philosophy. Isn’t it wonderful when you can wear a piece differently every time and feel absolutely fabulous?
