Are you ready for this year’s knit parade? I am! Knitwear is always relevant in the fashion world during fall and winter seasons – but every year the designers come up with something new. Whilst the focus was on the oversize and asymmetry in the last seasons, this year everyone is in love with the pattern mix.
My knitwear by Prabal Gurung is the perfect it-piece for this season. The knitted sweater features a ribbed design and contrasting panels in grey and white. It has side slits and a huge turtleneck – the cut is loose and oversized. Several patterns are mixed in the fabric. A cable-stich in front, cross – and longitudinal stripes on shoulders and arms as well as black patches for an eye catching detailing. I think everyone needs a special and unique sweater for this autumn and winter!
As its pattern mix characterizes the jumper, I combined it with even another pattern. The skirt with a black and white print matches the knitwear really well and underlines the pattern mix. When wearing an oversized and outstanding top, I suggest styling it with a slim piece. Therefor the tight miniskirt is a great choice!
To capture the colors of the outfit I am wearing white boots and a small black Hermès clutch. The ankle boots by Zara with a small heel are greatly combinable for different styles and absolutely trendy right now. Last but not least I am wearing my big sunglasses by Le Specs with reflective glasses. As the clothes are really eye catching, it is better to style them with small and plain accessories. You can capture existing colors as I did, or put emphasis on small colored pieces as well – such as a yellow clutch for instance.
This season is about the knit parade. Checked pattern, stripes, shepherd’s check dotted – anything goes! The more patterns are mixed, the better! What do you think about this trend and did you get your pattern mix knitwear already?
