While cruising the streets of Paris during Fashion Week the rock dots carry a little rock glam into the air. I enjoy every single day in the city and every chance to present one of my creations and being inspired for more at the same time. It is great fun to mix up the styles and to get out different vintage pieces from my closet in order to combine them with new looks.
One of my cute vintage treasures are these white socks with black dots and details of ruffles on the rim. I actually found them in my mother’s carnival box, where they have been waiting for me to show them off for more than 30 years. They compliment my rock dot skirt, a black lace layer skirt from Storets with layers of differently patterned sheer fabrics, a classic skater style silhouette with lace and dotted patterns cascading down below the leg. The skirt is in the style of a petticoat and is so much fun to wear because it reminds me of happy dancers who are hopping and jumping around. It is also very sexy giving glimpses of the legs through the transparent fabric.
With this cute and rocky skirt I chose a white pullover by Oui making the look more casual. To keep the skirt and pullover together I am wearing a leather waist belt from Set Fashion. Waist belts are a wonderful it piece right now and you can easily style them with skirts, jeans or dresses and they give your waist a feminine touch.
My white snake pumps from Christian Louboutin and the cute vintage socks are proof that little socks can be worn with pumps. And in this style it is a great combination of sexy and sweet items. The clutch from Chanel rounds up the style and keeps up the black and white look. And to cover my eyes I chose the Céline Audrey sunglasses – for the mysterious lady covering her eyes but being able to watch the entire scene through them.
It is always great to search for classic or crazy pieces in old storage places. You should have a look in yours once in a while and dig out some vintage highlights like these rock dot socks I found.
