The CARLTON CANNES is an amazing place to spend some relaxing days on the French Riviera which I was lucky to experience a few weeks ago.
The reborn icon of the Riviera has only re-opened its doors after the most extensive renovation since its opening in March 2023 and shines in full splendour as never before.

ENDLESS HISTORY AND HOLLYWOOD GLAM
The CARLTON CANNES is a place where history is being written endlessly. Let me give you two examples. Did you know that it is the place where the League of Nations has been founded and Hitchcock’s ‘To catch a thief’ has been filmed? Simply legendary!
Each of the rooms and suites at the CARLTON CANNES is both a place to feel at home and a journey within. I stayed at the Alfred Hitchcock Suite which has an absolutely unique history as it was in front of the door of this suite that Grace Kelly kissed Cary Grant in 1954, during the filming of ‘To catch a thief’. The view of the Croisette was simply stunning from that suite and I loved spending some time in the wonderful, light flooded living-room. Every detail is meant to offer luxurious comfort of a luminous elsewhere which I felt and saw in each area of the suite.

ANATOLIAN DELIGHTS AND THE SWEET SCENT OF DOLCE VITA
The 1st evening I had the pleasure to enjoy a dinner at CARLTON CANNES’ Rüya Cannes which is the first restaurant offering Anatolian cuisine on the French Riviera. Created by renowned restaurant-owner Umut Özkanca it offers a sophisticated and contemporary cuisine inspired by the Anatolian Peninsula’s colorful history. The menu is made up of a range of Anatolian classics, revisited with a modern and fresh twist, all imbued with the Turkish conviviality and sharing spirit with the dishes representing a journey from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea. Rüya is the Turkish word for ‘dream’ and that’s exactly what the food tastes like! I had a lovely evening and it was a great end to a wonderful 1stday.
1st things 1st I started the next day with a super tasty breakfast at CARLTON CANNES’ Riviera Restaurant. Afterwards I headed to the CARLTON BEACH CLUB which is to be found across the street from the hotel. Here I spent a relaxing time by the sea, reading a book and being treated with the most attentive service. CARLTON BEACH CLUB’s iconic restaurant was where I enjoyed a light lunch which was a true treat. Chefs Alexandra Delamare and Laurent Bunel give rise to a sunny, local, simple and generous cuisine while you’re seated front row of the azure bay of Cannes.

What I love the most about this place is that at any time of the day it diffuses a sweet scent of Dolce Vita. A warm atmosphere, perfectly-chilled wine and a sunny cuisine – what else could a woman ask for when looking for a perfect day by the sea? This incredibly relaxing day flew by and I spent the evening watching the sunset from my suite with a light glass of rosé wine.
HIDDEN GEM IN THE NEW INTERIOR GARDEN
The last day of my stay at the CARLTON CANNES I kicked-off with an in-suite breakfast watching the Croisette slowly but surely come to live. Afterwards I spent some time by the wonderful infinity pool which is located in the CARLTON CANNES’ new interior garden. This place is a true oasis – a grand patio full of greens, trees and colored flower beds. Before packing my suitcases and heading back home I had lunch at the CARLTON CANNES Riviera Restaurant where seasonality and proximity are the watchwords that preside over the menu. The Mediterranean brasserie spirit at the Riviera Restaurant is what I enjoyed a lot and paired with the fresh, sun-drenched dishes it was the perfect finale of my stay at the CARLTON CANNES.
