My love story with Schubart from Düsseldorf began a couple of years ago in my early twenties. When I discovered Schubart I knew I wanted to have a piece of my own and from then on I put aside every penny I earned in order to buy my first ring. I immediately recognized the special strength around the family Schubart and their work – you can see it in every piece of jewellery they create. Every item is a statement piece and tells a story of its own.
The stones are big and eye-catching and most of the times I like to just wear one ring or bracelet – being so special no further accessories are needed. And every piece of jewelry by Schubart is so multifunctional, you can wear it with a sporty outfit, an elegant evening dress or just with a classy look. It will always brighten up your entire dress and the attention is yours. My personal love for Schubart I like to share with my loved ones and I gave my mom a beautiful ring and earrings for a big birthday some years ago – it also became one of her favorite pieces.
But not only the beauty of each individual piece is what keeps up my respect and love for the jewelry, their history and their way of working fascinates me. Schubart has a long family tradition, their story goes back more than 100 years. They always are open for new directions that combine beauty and clarity. Every item is unique and has its own soul. You can recognize their claim to bring materials and patterns to perfection.
Most of the gemstones come from Brazil where the family travels personally in order to check out where the stones and materials are found and processed. But the most important direction they follow in my eyes is fair trade. No matter if it’s about the purchase of gemstones or primary metals, everything has to be in favor of the environment and of human rights. Schubart supports the UN- Declaration of Human Rights and they speak out to having no tolerance at all for forced labor or child labor. In our fast and changing world I respect their commitment to these very important values we have in life.
The Schubart bracelet I am wearing is made of 18 ct rose gold and I love the material and the big design. The matching ring in 18 ct rose gold is decorated with nine baguette diamonds (1.34 ct) – an eye-catching and unique ring that draws all attention to your hands. These two pieces stand for themselves and they spread elegance and cool beauty. With this amazing jewelry I am wearing a metallic chic look, made up of a pleated lamé skirt in shimmering pastel by Gucci and a pink metallic v-neck knit by Alberta Ferretti. Shoes wise I chose Christian Louboutin Feerica heels with Swarovski crystals and flower accessory. My bag with pearl studs is from Gucci and to finish of I put on my Le Specs sunglasses, for an entire metallic chic look with beautiful jewelry.
Today I am so happy to be working with Schubart after having started my love story with them years ago – I admire their unique design, their family tradition and the respect for fair trade – visit their beautiful store and start your personal love story!
