The MS EUROPA 2 is one of the leading cruise ships from Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, that has already won numerous awards, such as the “best cruise ship in the world” for its exceptional standard. I was one of the lucky guests last weekend, to enjoy a little short trip from Hamburg over Copenhagen to Kiel, to see for myself and to try out what the MS EUROPA 2 offers. It is all about lifestyle and luxury – for not more than 500 guests. That gives you so much space and at the same time grants a super relaxed atmosphere. Checking into my suite was the first highlight – so much space and comfort on a ship. And of course the stunning view from the balcony – and this is true for every single room on board, only suites in this standard and more.
It was hard to choose among the activities and the seven restaurants and bars every day – each one has a special design and cuisine – and all of them are delicious and offer best service. And if you like to really relax for some time you can for sure do this on more than 1000 square meters of Spa area. Seriously, the MS EUROPA 2 is truly a special ship – combining luxury and freedom on a very unforced and personal level. If you choose to travel with them, you will be able to visit legendary hotspots, sophisticated harbors and you will see most amazing coastal landscapes and destinations.
On my trip I was in charge of the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Instagram Account, I took over the platform in order to report about the trip through my eyes. This was especially great since it was a fashion trip with a big night, the FASHION2NIGHT 2018, where the design duo Talbot Runhof presented their exclusive Cruise-Collection for the MS EUROPA 2. Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof created a beautiful collection, inspired from their first cruise, resulting in lovely maritime looks. The glamorous show was on pool deck 9, overlooking the beautiful port of Hamburg. The evening started on the red carpet with VIP guests from the show biz, fashion world and trade and industry. Such as Natalia Wörner, Sonja Gerhardt, Hardy Krüger jr., Franz Dinda and models like Eveline Hall, Barbara Meier and Kim Hnizdo. The beautiful star guest and singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor harmonized wonderfully with the stunning collection on stage. Later on Duke was a next party highlight and a DJ played cool tones for the rest of the evening in the Sansibar, where we all enjoyed a fun time dancing away into the night – all inspired and organized in the vibes of luxury and fashion.
Of course, I was also wearing an amazing outfit by Talbot Runhof for the fashion night. And thanks to the wonderful team of La Biosthétique Paris my hair was styled in perfection. The famous hairstylist Jörg Oppermann and his great team were responsible for the fantastic styling of the guests on board in the Beauty Lounge.
After the grand first night the MS EUROPA 2 left the harbor of Hamburg and started for the three-day cruise on the Baltic sea. The trip was all about fashion! You could get your favorite pieces of Talbot Runhof in the own Pop-up Boutique or visit a workshop, hosted by the fashion expert Annette Weber who shared some tips and tricks all around the perfect styling.
Apart from that I had an amazing time, exploring every deck and enjoying the company of interesting people. Or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful landscape and city of Copenhagen.
