Mykonos, is definitely one of the Greek It-location for summer. Have you ever been to the Greek islands? There’s absolutely no chance of not falling in love with the little white houses and the deep blue sea glistening in the summer sun.
This year my little sister Isabel an I decided to visit Mykonos like we had done exactly three
years before – to get a few days of well-deserved vacation.
I can understand, what all the fuzz is about this island. It really is a beautiful place where both relaxing, going out and celebrating with friends comes easy. The warm climate, the blue sky, azure water, white houses and music in the air make you feel at home immediately.
Our beautiful Hotel, the Myconian Ambassador, was the first highlight in itself. The Hotel complex is really spectacular, starting with our sublime room – so cool, puristic and elegant, that invited cocooning and cooling off in the air-conditioned surrounding. Another great highlight were the numerous turquoise swimming pools – some of them directly attached to the rooms, so that one can bath and enjoy the sun in private. I also loved the food immensely – a delicious generous breakfast on the terrace or a light lunch at the pool revived our energy level immediately. By the way – I’m a huge fan of the authentic Greek cuisine.
There’s so much to do and so much to see on Mykonos! Time seems to stand still in the little fishing villages, that haven’t lost any of their rustic charm. And the legendary white windmills of Mykonos that can be seen from every point of the village are really iconic, so we had to go there and snap some pictures.
If you’re looking for a beautiful summer destination, Mykonos is definitely one of the places to go. The predominating white walls are the perfect background for lively events, colorful food, artful pottery and – of course – my favorite topic: fashion!
