Padded Bags – a trend that I surely would not have predicted last spring but that I immediately fell in love with! When I saw the BOTTEGA VENETA Padded Cassette Bag for the 1st time I thought it looks really different, new and special – simply a statement piece. Based in my idea of making a statement with this outstanding bag I chose also a quite unique colorway – light blue. I chose this statement color because I feel it fits very well to lighter colored spring styles and simply transports a great spring feeling itself. For my Padded Bag spring look I combined a Jane Flare Denim by CELINE with a STELLA MCCARTNEY blouse with a spring-screaming floral print. I really like the flare fit of the jeans in combination with the high waistline. It is simply made for tucking your blouse, shirt or top in. To me the trend of tucking is both super comfortable and super sexy as it accentuates your waistline perfectly. The combination of blues in top and bottom garment perfectly match to the light blue colorway of the BOTTEGA VENETA Padded Cassette Bag and make it pop out quite nicely whilst not coming across as being too much. Another piece that is trending each spring season anew – we could even call it an evergreen – is the trench coat. The one I styled with this outfit is from VALENTINO and a classical double-breasted version in a light camel tone. Trench coats are a great spring essential! They are easy to combine and in a subtle colorway like light camel they make the perfect classy essential that you can keep forever.
I topped this look off with some pink GUCCI mules to break the classical feeling a little. I am really happy that mules are finally back on the fashion carpet as I like this kind of shoe-style a lot. They are both chic and comfortable – simply the best combination.
I think this look is great combination of classical elements, re-issued fashion must-haves and the latest trends. It is visually homogenous yet making a bold fashion statement with its secret star piece – the BOTTEGA VENETA Padded Cassette Bag.
