The RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain was where I spent an amazing holiday right after Christmas and where I also celebrated New Year’s Eve and welcomed 2022. At the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain guests enjoy a secluded experience within the heart of Manama’s Seef District offering a private beach, luxury villas and award-winning dining.

The possibilities to treat oneself to the utmost are endless at this outstanding place and after a year with very intense projects I really enjoyed this time off and the facilities each and every day. The sea-inspired spa for ladies and gentlemen which I frequented almost daily featurs a hammam with four plunge pools, a couple’s suite and the signature treatments drawing from Arabic rituals are simply heaven. As many of you surely know that I am foodie the following fact was one that made my heart melt: The RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain offers 14 dining venues – each of them being an absolute delight. As being a sports enthusiast just as much as I am a food enthusiast the exclusive Royal Beach Club with tennis and squash courts, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools offered the possibility to stay active whilst indulging in the Arabic culture, great food and wellness facilities.
Having dinner at the PRIMAVERA OSTERIA was a lovely experience for a huge fan of Italian cuisine like me. With its Osteria Contemporanea concept featuring Italian charm and flavors the PRIMAVERA OSTERIA at the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain offers a refined reinterpretation of Italian traditions with a refreshing gastronomic lineup including homemade pasta and specialty dishes made from 100% authentic ingredients. The PRIMAVERA OSTERIA entices diners with an inspiring decor which evokes an evergreen garden of freshness and simplicity, complemented by a terrace overlooking the beautiful RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain resort.
Another highlight of my time at the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain was enjoying a traditional High Tea at the Villa. Spacious layouts, modern design, deep soaking tubs and resort, garden or sea views are among the features found in the luxury accommodations the hotel offers. With 450sqm, three spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, a panoramic view facing water as well as a private pool and exclusive personal beach the Villa leaves no wish unfulfilled. I had the honor of the Director responsible for these very special accommodations showing me around this very special place to stay at the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain. My conclusion: breathtaking and one of a kind!
As I am very interested in foreign cultures I also spent a day at the traditional souk BAB AL BAHRAIN. The atmosphere was so special and it was a visit that definitely triggered all senses. I especially enjoyed the unique selection of spices and traditionally woven fabrics. The spices a took as souvenirs will surely make it into many of my upcoming homemade dishes inspired by this trip.
Another culinary highlight I was able to experience was the PLUMS RESTAURANT which is the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain’s sophisticated take on the traditional steakhouse. It is the region’s top steakhouse combining the finest in modern dining with innovative cuisine, all within an elegant setting elevated by jewel toned-fabrics and artful decor. And on top it does not only offer the best selection of premium meats but also hosts Bahrain’s only Josper Charcoal Grill cooking them to perfection. For those who prefer sea food the PLUMS RESTAURANT offer unique dishes as well all paired with a sommelier-selected beverage menu. An exceptional location paired with absolutely one of a kind dishes.
New Year’s Eve was a very special one at the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain with a lovely outdoor gala featuring the finest food as well as live music and great company. I enjoy dancing a lot and spent most of the evening on the dancefloor before greeting the new year 2022 hoping for it to be one that brings only joy to the world.After spending a lot of time in and next to the water I also took the chance to explore Bahrain by boat. Water-ways give you the opportunity to dive into places in a completely different way than by foot or car and it was so nice to spent some time on the water indulging in sunshine and the beautiful view of the skyline.
My trip to the RITZ-CARLTON Bahrain definitely made me start 2022 with only smiles and positive vibes and I hope, that these will be the leading signs for the year to come.
