Asymmetry is one of the main characteristics of contemporary fashion. The high low skirt is the favorite piece of the most important fashion designers and was seen on several red carpets and catwalks this year as well as in street styles. In New York I dressed up with my black high low skirt by Tigha during this year’s Fashion Week.

The skirt has a very special fit and cut. It is a tight miniskirt with an attached veil in the back. It is flirty and romantic at the same time and that’s what I totally adore about it! As you can see on my pictures, the fabric in the back is very light and it “flies” when walking. It is a very special piece – I loved walking through the streets of New York with this unique skirt 😉 ! As I told you before I really like long clothes because of the feeling when wearing it – especially when they float and fly.

I combined Tigha’s item with the classic Louboutin Pigalle high heels in black. It is still one of my favourite pieces in my closet and great for occasions by day and night. And for a skirt like this I need pointed heels! For the accessories I wore the well-known Audrey sunglasses by Céline and the popular Drew bag by Chloé. I always combine fashionable pieces with stylish classics! The colourful blouse by Jadicted gives the outfit a personal touch. The print is very fashion and it looks great with the black skirt.

For me this outfit is very New York – classic fashion pieces by Louboutin, Chloé and Céline in combination with the stylish and contemporary eyecatchers by Tigha and Jadicted. What do you think? What does New York fashion mean to you?
