Dior Book Tote Bag is my new companion for strolls through the city. If needed it conveys the necessary space for a shopping excursion, otherwise it’s a trendy statement accessory completing a casual outfit in a chic but understated way.
I chose the colorway with subtle blue – a shade I really love!
Therefore for this outfit I matched it with a blue striped double-breasted blazer from Zara in earthy tones and a blue Borsalino hat, which I decorated with a Dior foulard. To complete the outfit I opted for high-waisted wide leg pants from Staud, again in a natural color and Dior Dway mules – I really fell in love with these comfortable flats by Dior and they just fabulously fit to this outfit! The croco printed belt from Max Mara gives this look the finishing touch. Finally, to not push it too far, I completed the outfit with a plain white tank top from H&M.
Here’s another little beauty secret I’ve discovered – wide and flowing garments can underline a slim and feminine silhouette, if matched cleverly. It’s all about the details: the wide leg pants work perfectly for this look because of the high-waisted belt that hugs my middle tightly. And, as I already mentioned in the past, I currently love oversized blazers with rolled up sleeves, which makes your forearms peek out whilst your shoulders are being accentuated by the fabric. And the oversized Dior Book Tote Bag echoes the natural structure of the outfit and adds to the idea of generous volume.
Not only the Dior Book tote Bag comes in the oblique pattern – there’s a wide range of other fashion pieces that use the symmetric placement of that legendary logo arrangement with the outstanding D.
You’ve certainly noted that I’m wearing flats for this look – even though I am a high-heel girl as you all know J- and I chose them on purpose: first of all they go perfectly with the Dior logo theme and secondly in this outfit you don’t necessarily need high heels, because the high-waisted silhouette already elongates your legs. Thirdly this is an understated look so I love their simple but sophisticated elegance. However, the Dior Book Tote look also works with sandals, but they should come in an earthy color and – to fully keep the look’s handwriting – recall the slightly rough and casual appearanceof the Dior Book Tote’s canvas surface.
