Never was a fan of cycling pants! But I have to admit that these sporty pants are so comfortable. And wearing them in a classy way with blazer and pumps is a trend I really love. To get a really fashionable outfit, cycling pants need to be matched in the right context – that’s essential. As mentioned before, personally I don’t care much for them if the look is too sporty, so feminine shoes – at least with a little heel – are a must to make your legs look longer.
Add an extra long piece on top and you will achieve an amazing effect. You can either style them with an oversized blazer as I’ve done in the pictures or an oversized blouse or tunic.
I found a simple pair of black cycling pants at H&M and opted for a cute pink oversized blazer from Zara that goes perfectly with it and gives the look an extra 80s twist. If you want to copy this outfit don’t forget to roll up the sleeves of the blazer to achieve perfect proportions and stress your upper body.
Underneath I’m wearing a logo print T-shirt in white and black from Balenciaga. With an eye-catching jacket I like to keep it simple, so a white Tee is a perfect choice.
The rest is all about the details. I couldn’t resist and added my beloved Prada hairband in this feminine rose shade, big black Céline Audrey-style sunglasses, a black clutch with a smoking red mouth print from Prada, that stresses the 80s pop-art factor, and black pointed BB pumps from Balenciaga.
I think that an outfit like this is perfect for light summer evenings in the city. You can show bare legs in a sophisticated way and the blazer keeps away the evening’s breeze and forms a feminine silhouette.
You should definitely give it a try and do the unthinkable – wear a pair of cycling pants for a fancy night out. 😉
xx Alex
