On my journey through this February’s Paris Fashion Week I discovered so many great up and coming trends and also saw some familiar and beloved ones that have established themselves throughout the past seasons. One that I have identified as one of my favorite ones is definitely the suit style which has been around for some time now and will luckily – based on my observations of street and runway styles – also be a topic of the season to come.
For my personal Paris Fashion Week suit styles, I had the great pleasure to team up with NET-A-PORTER. The world’s premier luxury fashion destination who’s celebrating their 20th anniversary this year has the great mission of delivering incredible fashion for incredible women and from my point of view their doing this simply incredible!
The 1st suit style I put together with the help of NET-A-PORTER I based on a brown Altuzarra suit. I especially love the amazing cut of the pants which follow the latest trend of going away from skinny and more towards the direction of boot cut leg shapes. The great button details along the shinbone remind me of sportswear somehow and give this look a rather casual feeling. The belt detail of the jacket is a little playful, helps to shape a feminine silhouette and underlines the casual look and feel. I combined this suit with a Rejina Pyo Net Sustain Candice ribbed jersey top with a little turtle neck. As you surely have noticed sustainability is a very important topic in fashion these days. When it comes to sustainability my personal point of view is that every little step counts and I am happy that the fashion industry and many retailers such as NET-A-PORTER are nowadays offering amazing fashion pieces that are sustainably sourced or produced. To finalize the outfit, I topped it off with a matching Loewe Gate mini shoulder bag, color blocking pink Gucci mules and Fendi sunglasses. Monochrome is a colorway I enjoy tremendously but nevertheless I think a little color blocking works very well in this case and makes the suit stand out even more. As this look is rather business casual I wore it during the day whilst making my way through the streets of Paris visiting different show rooms and spotting street styles all around.
My 2nd NET-A-PORTER suit style look I built around a delicate light blue De La Vali suit which I simply adore for the wide leg high-waisted pants and extraordinarily shaped lapels of the jacket. These details make the suit appear very dressy and chic. I combined this suit with an exceptional satin top with feather details by 16Arlington. This outstanding piece definitely makes this look an eye catcher and is one of a kind.
When it comes to unique pieces like this 16Arlington top you can surely rely on the outstanding designer and product range NET-A-PORTER offers as it will never let you down when looking for something really special. To complete my all-over light blue look I combined the suit and top ensemble it with a light blue Shirley mini bag from Staud and color matching pumps. I am especially delighted by the current mini bag trend that I saw all over Paris Fashion Week and this lovely one by Staud is so well in line with my credo all monochrome everything that it felt just perfect to make it part of this look. To break the monochrome style visually I topped the outfit off with a pair of black square-frame Bottega Veneta sunglasses.
This suit style to me is rather chic and a perfect night-time companion therefore I wore it for a lovely dinner night-out during Paris Fashion Week. In that case I of course used my mini bag to keep my sunglasses in… 😉
I hope you enjoy the lovely looks I styled with the help of NET-A-PORTER and feel inspired to browse their page and put together your very own suit style now!
