The monochrome look way of dressing is a trend which I think is totally worth exploring as it can be interpreted in any kind of way you can imagine. There aren’t many trends as versatile and adaptable to the occasion you’re styling yourself for as this one. You may go head to toe denim, neon all over or all black everything – it’s totally up to you and that’s what makes the monochrome look so charming.
The monochrome look for beginners is definitely an all black everything outfit. It is easily put together and can be worn during daytime as well as nighttime happenings. I personally love going all black everything for dinner dates for example as it’s a look that is likewise chic and sets a statement. A more sophisticated and bold way of going monochrome is a colored monochrome look. I decided to go for an all over combination in pink which I think is super suitable for the hopefully soon to come springtime. My look is based on a lovely RIANI dress in combination with a RIANI blazer in the 100% same shade of pink. I am a pleated skirt enthusiast and think this dress is the perfect combination of a classic blouse-like top and the currently trending pleated bottoms. The oversized blazer is a perfect addition to the dress making it look not too dressy but giving it kind of a casual touch.
As most of you will know I am a big fan of headbands. The one I am wearing is from PRADA and the color just fits perfectly to the RIANI combination.
To break the pinkyness a little I chose white high-heels from MALONE SOULIERS as well as a matching white handbag from CHANEL to go with this look. To top the outfit off I am wearing golden jewelry and tried a little layering when it comes to the necklaces.
To me the monochrome look is a clear keeper for 2020 and I hope you’ll all join me in this chic, bold and sophisticated movement!
