I was very lucky to be able to visit this year’s Art Basel Miami. It is a super special event full of international art pieces and interesting people. The Art Basel is a fair for contemporary and modern art with its roots in – of course – Basel. It started there in 1970 and is now one of the most important events of the art scene, taking place in Basel, Miami and Hong Kong annually, where the most relevant artists are displayed. I visited this Art Basel with my dear friend Nel-Olivia Waga – www.her-etiquette.com . We had such an amazing time visiting the exhibitions and seeing so many different art pieces. Furthermore we met very interesting people – the art fair attracts artists, actors and fashion people from all over the world. This is also why many fashion events happen during this time as well.
I am a big art fan and I enjoyed this trip very much. We were on the go the whole time as there were so many happenings! And the Miami atmosphere also got me into an arty mood when styling my looks. I am in love with the Dorothee Schumacher collection and especially with my arty-printed long dress. The garment is made out of silk and super soft. The cut is quite loose and it has a very cool detailing: a black and a colored elastic band – mainly visible in the back of the dress. It is perfect for the windy Miami weather during the winter months, but I also can’t wait to wear it next summer in Europe! Floating pieces are always a good idea.
I always enjoy being in Miami. The atmosphere is very artistic and at the same time there are modern and clean skyscrapers next to the beach. The view is unique and I adore the mix of the beach and city holiday!
