The Kimono is one of the oldest and most traditional clothing from Japan and I must admit I just developed a Kimono Love. They are so elegant and colorful and the flower prints announce the coming season with all their beauty. Wearing this green flower printed Kimono from Zara I can feel the spring and summer vibes already. And let me tell you what I like most about traditions: it is that you can break with them and find new ways to work with them. Like I am wearing this Kimono with a cool pair of jeans.
These blue jeans from Vetements, made in cooperation with Levi’s are from APROPOS The Concept Store. It has a nice cut being a little bit wider around the leg and having cut-out raw hems. This style is trending right now in the jeans world and it is a fun cut you can play with and dress it with all different kinds of items. Like with a fancy blouse or blazer, or a statement shirt and a leather jacket. Just try out what suits you best right now and what mood you are in.
Under my Kimono I am wearing a green tank top in silk that goes perfectly with the colors and the fabric. You can tell I am in the mood for green, carrying this beautiful Kelly Ghillies 35 bag in bamboo green from Hermès. And for the green look I chose to put on the fun Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses in the same color. I am bringing a little touch of nature into the city and maybe it sets you into the spring/summer mood as well. My pumps are white snake pumps from Christian Louboutin finishing up my outfit.
Maybe I could inspire you and bring the Kimono Love closer to you with this styling, if so enjoy the traditional piece!
