The yellow Monday is my fun day – starting of a new week in a positive mood is the best way to get going for a productive week. I really enjoy life and there is nothing better than having fun and enjoying each moment – no matter what I am doing. My job is also fun and in my opinion a good laugh at work frees your mind and gives strength for next steps. When the sun shines you can immediately sense the rising mood of everyone around you – people tend to laugh more and to spend more time outside.

During the colder and greyer winter days sometimes you have to help the sun a little bit, if it doesn’t feel like coming out by itself as much. To do this I slipped into my bright yellow Alberta Ferretti jumper – with big pink letters over the chest writing: Monday. The sweater has a slim cut which makes it easy to combine with wide skirts and casual boyfriend pants for example. And the flashy colors are a cool eye-catcher – not only an item to wear on Mondays, that would be a waste of a super fun jumper.

The beautiful skirt going along with it is from Balenciaga, made of pleated crepe de chine with flower prints in blue and a flashy yellow. That picks up wonderfully with my top and my yellow Monday motto. Pleated skirts are trendy right now and I love the elegant style – they swing nicely around the legs and have something very ladylike about them.

To stay in my yellow Monday mood I slipped into my neon yellow pumps from Christian Louboutin. The legs are always stretched with a nice pair of high heels and I personally feel most comfortable in them. This shiny neon model is a favorite – I love styling them with a mini skirt or with a pair of slim jeans. And of course with a beautiful skirt like you can see me wearing in this picture.

Pink is also always a good idea, no matter what time of the day or week it is. My handbag is a quilted small boy bag from Chanel in pink, matching up with the writing on my sweater. A cool outfit needs a cool pair of sunglasses, I chose my mirrored ones from Le Specs.

My Yellow Monday was a super fun day and I cannot wait to continue my week in this great mood – why don’t you put on some color and jump up on my trip through a fun week!
