Dots and Stripes are two adorable patterns that are used frequently in the fashion world. No matter if in clothing or accessories, they always look great. Right now both styles are trending in the scene and you can’t really miss out on them. Polka dots as they are called always look very cute in clothing, so I like to style them with elegant items, then it doesn’t look too young. The word Polka translates into “little girl or little woman” in Czech language and it describes the style. But as I said it is always about finding the right mix and the right balance in an outfit, then you can actually wear everything.

Stripes are also big and I personally think they give pieces a touch of art, they always look very graphic and cool. And both patterns can be either big or small and in colors or just black and white – there is so much to try out and to enjoy.

My friend and designer Steffen Schraut from Düsseldorf is always up to date, he offers beautiful designs in great quality. What I enjoy most about his label is the big choice of different styles, you can find anything going from casual, to business chic up to an elegant evening gown. And his designs are made for every woman who is interested in fashion and who likes to make a statement in her outfit.

This suit in blue and white you can see me wearing is one of my latest treasures from Steffen Schraut. The short coat has fun trumpet arms and it has a nice length for springtime. The matching trousers go down to the ankle and they have a perfect fit. Underneath I am wearing a white blouse from the same label, having the arms looking out under the sleeve of the coat. The style is very chic and I love to wear this combination for a nice business meeting in the city for example.

My handbag shows the striped pattern in a very elegant and modern way. This model is from Aigner, it is the Candice bag and really does look like it comes straight from a candy shop.

My pumps are a beautiful pair from Christian Louboutin, showing hand-scribbled writing from the artist himself. To finish off I put on my Mykita sunglasses for a last blue touch.

Stripes and dots are fun and beautiful and why not showing them together once in a while – try out your personal pattern mix!
